For those of you who live in areas that change to Daylight Saving Time, make sure you switch your cameras. My loaner Z 5 and my previous Nikon D850’s had a two-step menu setting to switch between Standard and Daylight Saving Time:
My current Z 8’s have a similar first screen but you just click on it to switch without having go to the second menu item.
However your camera does it, it’s better to change this Daylight Saving Time setting rather than directly changing the time setting. This way, depending on your camera, the Exif data would properly record if it was DST or not. If you change the time itself, it will show the correct time, but will indicate it as standard time, not DSL, in the Exif data. Besides being more accurate, it’s faster, too!
